DAWN.COM | + Pakistan | ‘Let’s be friends once again’: Zardari

In a reference to the PML-N agitation and its crucial role in a lawyer-led ‘long march’ that led to the restoration of the remaining 11 superior court judges out of about 60 sacked by General Musharraf under a controversial Nov 3, 2007, emergency proclamation, he said: ‘Let not democracy challenge itself on the ground of one reason or the other, whether on the streets of Lahore or on the streets of Islamabad. Let’s put an end to challenging each other. We have challenges enough from around the world and from our enemies within. Let’s be friends again and forever.’

CAPITAL GAINS TAX

MCCAIN

0% on home sales up to $500,000 per home (couples). McCain does not propose any change in existing home sales income tax.

OBAMA

28% on profit from ALL home sales.  (How does this affect you? If you sell your home and make a profit, you will pay 28% of your gain on taxes. If you are heading toward retirement and would like to down-size your home or move into a retirement community, 28% of the money you make from your home will go to taxes. This proposal will adversely affect the elderly who are counting on the income from their homes as part of their retirement income.)

DIVIDEND TAX

MCCAIN

15% (no change)

OBAMA

39.6% - (How will this affect you? If you have any money invested in stock market, IRA, mutual funds, college funds, life insurance, retirement accounts, or anything that pays or reinvests dividends, you will now be paying nearly 40% of the money earned on taxes if Obama becomes president. The experts predict that ‘Higher tax rates on dividends and capital gains would crash the stock market, yet do absolutely nothing to cut the deficit.’)

INHERITANCE TAX

MCCAIN

- 0% (No change, Bush repealed this tax)

OBAMA

Restore the inheritance tax

Many families have lost businesses, farms, ranches, and homes that have been in their families for generations because they could not afford the inheritance tax. Those willing their assets to loved ones will only lose them to these taxes.

NEW TAXES PROPOSED BY OBAMA

New government taxes proposed on homes that are more than 2400 square feet.  New gasoline taxes (as if gas weren’t high enough already) New taxes on natural resources consumption (heating gas, water, electricity)  New taxes on retirement accounts, and last but not least….New taxes to pay for socialized medicine so we can receive the same level of medical care as other third-world countries

Sean Hannity for president

For this campaign to be successful, it must be a grass roots effort by people who have a sincere interest in transforming our own destiny. Since Sean has made no decision to run, we are asking you to contact the offices of the Secretary of State of your state to state your intention to vote for Sean Hannity and Dave Ramsey. Even if you want to write in someone else, at least tell them that you want to exercise your right to vote for a write-in candidate for president. Insist that there be a provision made on your ballot for such a vote to be cast. Especially if your state will be using a computer voting machine to register votes since in most states with electronic ballot casting there has been no provision made for writing-in your candidate.

The reason for this campaign is so that "We the People" will wake up and realize that we can and should decide what changes are now necessary to transform our current situation and begin implementing those solutions before it is too late. Before, they completely take away our ability to do so. The current ruling parties are based on the false presumption of prior disunity and on separate factions competing for power and control, when they are really just two sides of the same coin. Their politics are based on agendas that can’t result in the right and necessary changes. Choosing between the two parties currently in power is no choice at all. Tell your local election board you want the right to choose who you cast your vote for.

Your participation is requested and needed. Help us salvage the rights we have left. You can start at any time by contacting and encouraging your friends, family and neighbors to consider these basic principles. Enough people acting together can make the difference.

Thank you, and remember, to vote by writing-in Sean Hannity and Dave Ramsey.

TOGETHER WE CAN

Sean Hannity for president

If you vote Democrat or Republican in the coming election you have voted to allow the U.S. government to continue, in some form, the way it always has pandering to corporate interests, failing to back a universal flat tax that would equalize the burden of running the country among all, and refusing to call for the slashing of the bloated budget. And they won’t even contemplate the repeal of NAFTA and the Taft-Hartley Act, which cripples the ability of American companies to compete in the open market. They are not seeking solutions to imported fossil fuels as an energy resource in any meaningful way which would limit the ability of oil rich countries to manipulate us. These are all issues the voters have repeatedly made their will clear on. Yet the current two party system has refused to address these issues. Is this really the kind of representation you want? Or do you just belive that is the only option available to you?  We the people can write in any American we choose to in the blanks for president and vice president. I plan to fill my blanks with the names of Sean Hannity and Dave Ramsey? Care to join me? Viva la revolution
